The Falconeer developer Tomas Sala has been experimenting with possible VR support for the celebrated flight game. Throughout multiple campaigns, you will experience life from many different perspectives and loyalties as you embark on a journey of discovery, and solve the mystery of the Ursee, its people and history. You take on the role of Falconeer, a powerful airborne warrior traversing a vast oceanic world torn apart by generations of poisonous decisions and dissent. While I'd love to go further, the details are unfortunately few and far between right now, but what I can tell you is that The Falconeer will be heading over to PC and Xbox One at some point in 2020. Since trying to explain this through words alone is nearly pointless, allow me to share with you one of the recent teaser trailers. You'll be able to explore a significant portion of the world from the get-go, join or anger any of the various factions, and when someone insults your falcon's plumage, engage in airborne combat through a combination of ranged weapons and aerial acrobatics. However, while The Falconeer obviously doesn't star a dragon in the main role, it does check all of the other boxes. I mean for goodness sake, does nobody else want to ride a dragon around!? A real shame given how much potential there is. Sure, there's simulators and the occasional wargame, but that's pretty much where the genre starts and ends. : Aerial combat and exploration game The Falconeer is launching this November 10th.ĭespite gaming technology advancing quite considerably over the years, there is a disappointing amount of games where you get to freely fly around the world. ![]()
